My son is very athletic but wasn't too interested in the baseball, football or basketball programs our town offers. He signed up for an intro after school program in first grade through his elementary school and immediately loved karate. He joined the studio shortly thereafter and has been going for the past six years now. The studio encourages self-control, self-discipline and respect, and the students earn stripes for demonstrating these three rules as they mature. My son has also gained confidence and strength. He enjoys going to class year round, which is a huge plus, and he has done well competing at the tournaments. The instructors are encouraging, knowledgeable, and friendly with a strong karate pedagogy and solid teaching skills. The studio has classes for all ages and levels, offers summer camps, and is involved in town events such as parades and holiday celebrations. I highly endorse this studio and its instructors!
